‘John Wick’s Ian McShane Cast As Professor Broom In R-Rated ‘Hellboy: Rise of The Blood Queen’

The HollywoodReporter has learned that Ian McShane (Deadwood, John Wick, Game of Thrones, American Gods) will join David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Professor Broom in Hellboy: Rise of The Blood Queen, previously played by the late John Hurt.

The new story sees the hero squaring off against a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy humankind.

McShane will play Hellboy’s adoptive father, Professor Broom.

The R-rated reboot will be directed by Neil Marshall with a September production start in UK and Bulgaria.
