Joseph-Gordon Levitt’s ‘Sandman’ Finds It’s Writer In ‘The Conjuring 2’ Eric Heisserer

Mar 5, 2016

News on Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Sandman adaptation of the critically acclaimed comic has been quite for over a year. However, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that horror screenwriter Eric Heisserer (The Conjuring 2, The Thing) has come on board to write the film. They go onto reveal that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will indeed direct and star in the film as Morpheus. He also wrote the treatment for the film along with Blade writer David Goyer. This is also the first of a planned trilogy for the film.

There is a small rumor that all of Vertigo titles at New Line Films will be set within their own universe. This would include the highly anticipated but not greenlight Justice League: Dark films.
