Josh Boone Confirms ‘X-Men: The New Mutants’ Production Offices Have Opened As Prep Begins

20th Century Fox has been mum concerning their upcoming productions for their next wave of X-Men films. While they’ve been vocal concerning X-Men: The New Mutants and Deadpool 2 development, they still have yet to confirm X-Men 7 aka Teen Spirit is even happening despite an official Montreal production listing.

However, director and co-writer Josh Boone has been leaving breadcrumbs on his Instagram account. His latest is confirming on his birthday that prep on New Mutants is underway as production offices have been opened.

Previously, Omega Underground spotted that Boone had revealed that he was location scouting for New Mutants in Boston, Massachusetts. This suggests the film is looking to shoot within the state a recent hot-bed for feature films. Also, a possible nod to Stephen King.

Josh had teased previously that he was looking to begin production in April-May, producer Simon Kinberg has suggested it could land a release date in 2018.
