Josh Whitehouse Takes Lead Role In HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel ‘The Long Night’

HBO has hired yet another lead actor for their Game of Thrones prequel series titled The Long Night.

Deadline reports that British actor Josh Whitehouse has landed an undisclosed leading role in the series.

Whitehouse will join Aussie actress Naomi Watts, who was announced just yesterday.

Taking place thousands of years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” Goldman’s project chronicles the world’s descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend–it’s not the story we think we know.

Filming was originally said to begin sometime this February in Belfast, Northern Ireland as reported by Omega Underground.

A release date for the series has yet to be announced by HBO.
