Days after Warner Bros. released Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice last year, the studio out of the blue uploaded a deleted scene on YouTube which teased a first glimpse of Justice League villain Steppenwolf.
The scene (which was included in the extended cut) saw a group of soldiers find Lex Luthor surrounded by goo talking to the hologram of the alien in the downed Kryptonian scout ship.
Now a leaked image of the Steppenwolf action figure has found its way online giving us the best look at the character yet.
When introducing characters which sets up future films in cinematic universes there’s always tweaks made. The biggest difference is Steppenwolf looks a bit more humanoid, probably due to him no longer being a hologram mind you.
Game of Thrones actor Ciaran Hinds will play Steppenwolf in the film, with his performance being motion capture, a bit like what they did with Ares in Wonder Woman.
With San Diego Comic Con just round the corner and Warner Bros wanting to promote the release of Justice League let’s hope we get our first official look at Steppenwolf soon.
Justice League hits screens November 17, 2017.
