Former True Blood star Joe Manganiello has been linked with playing a few characters in the DCEU over the last few years (both Superman and Batman). The most recent role he was linked to was Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke.
Rumours circulated that the character was set to appear in the Suicide Squad film, and Manganiello was in talks about joining the film in an untitled lead role. However he decided against, and starred in Pee Wee’s Netflix movie.
Now with the recent reveal of the test footage featuring the DC villain, hinting at an appearance of Deathstroke in Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie. Could Manganiello be back in the frame for the role of Slade Wilson?
Manganiello is currently in London, exactly where the Justice League movie is filming and only project he’s currently attached to is a voice role in the Smurfs film. The actor recently had ‘tea’ (a commonly used phrase in England) with his wife before sharing a meal with his former True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer on Friday in the English capital.
