The Jumanji sequel is shaping up to be a goodie—just by the cast alone. With The Rock, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Nick Jonas already on-board to roll the dice in the magical board game, the film has added yet another talent to the cast (yes Nick Jonas is a talent, watch Kingdom) in Guardians of the Galaxy and former Dr Who star Karen Gillan.
The Rock as per, took to his Instagram to announce Gillan’s casting in the Jumanji sequel.
According to Deadline, Gillan will play a lead role as Martha (I seriously hope they change that name). And from my mere basic knowledge of Jumanji, there was never a character in the book or first movie called Martha. So it’s a role purely created for the sequel. I still hope Jack Black plays an older even hairier version of Peter Shepherd from the original.
The untitled Jumanji sequel is set to hit screens July 28, 2017
