Keaton Role Confirmed in Spider-Man: Homecoming

In an interview with the Toronto Sun, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has confirmed that Academy Award Nominee Michael Keaton will be taking on the role of Adrain Toomes, also known as The Vulture. He made the comments while speaking about the studios’ plans for its upcoming roster of villains including Cate Blanchett’s Hela (Thor: Ragnarok) and Josh Brolin’s Thanos (Upcoming Avengers Sequel)

No stranger to the superhero movie genre himself, Keaton was the first big screen Batman in Tim Burton’s 1989 film and its sequel and he was nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of an actor trying to reinvent his career after being famous for his role as a comic book superhero in Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance). 

While details of the production are still slowly being made public, this news gives fans a reason to speculate on the plot of the film and the direction that Keaton takes the character. What do you think about Keaton taking on Tom Holland’s Spider-Man July 2017?
