The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a huge place, and within it lies a few actors that have played more than one role. Two that notably spring to mind is Matt Gerald who played White Power Dave in the Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King before going on to have a bigger role as Melvin Potter in the Netflix series Daredevil.
The other is Alfre Woodard who was recently seen in Captain America: Civil War, as the parent whose son died during the battle with Ultron in Sokovia. She will go on to appear as Mariah Dillard in the Luke Cage Netflix series this year.
Now actor Kenneth Choi (Wolf of Wall Street) has joined the ranks of those who have played different roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Choi, played Jim Morita a member of the Howling Commandos in Captain America: First Avenger (he also reprised the role in Agents of SHIELD but who cares about that?). Choi now returns to the Marvel fold, as Deadline reports he has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming as Peter Parker’s high school principal.
Is this an Asian typecast? Or am I reading too much into this? Either way the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming is starting to fill out nicely for production to begin later on this summer.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits screens July 7, 2017.
