Kevin Feige Promises Kamala Khan and Nova Are Coming To The MCU

May 13, 2018

Phase Four and Phase Five in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are expected to move beyond the main Avengers with an Eternals movie confirmed to be in development at Marvel Studios.

We now have more of an idea what other heroes could be coming to the MCU.

During an interview with the BBC, Kevin Feige was asked about Muslim superhero Ms Marvel aka Kamala Khan, a Pakistani Captain Marvel fangirl turned fellow Avenger.

“Captain Marvel’s shooting right now with Brie Larson,” he said, talking to the BBC. “Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works. We have plans for that once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world.”

Also, last month Kevin revealed to ComicBook that Nova has potential at the studio as well.

“Nova is… if we have a big board with a bunch of characters that have more immediate potential, Nova is on that board,” Feige said in the exclusive interview. “Because of the connection to the Guardians universe, because there are more than one examples to pull from in the comics that are interesting. And you’re absolutely right, he was in the earliest drafts of the [Guardians of the Galaxy].”

There is also talk that a teen version of Cassie Lang will be in the next Avengers film seemingly teasing that we could be getting Young Avengers.

It’ll be interesting to see how these characters will fit into the MCU and if they’ll be introduced/teased in Avengers 4 due to the potential time jump expected.
