Interests

This might be the best issue of Killadelphia yet. I recognize there have been some powerful issues and wild introductions to character. But, Killadelphia #20 hits readers on two fronts

First, this issue could have massive ramifications for the title moving forward. Of course, that’s always going to leave the readers wanting more. Rodney Barnes and Jason Shawn Alexander also further develops the character he introduced Killadelphia #19 (who I will mention by name shortly — this is just a little warning).

In doing these things, Barnes and Alexander not only challenge SeeSaw. Readers are also put to the test. As much as George Washington seems like an untrustworthy character because of his recent actions and general affiliations with the past and the other dead U.S. presidents featured in this season, he provides SeeSaw with some information that might give anyone reason to pause.

I’m not necessarily thinking he’ll truthfully team-up with Washington — we all know he’s not looking to get used again. But I can’t help but wonder if SeeSaw will try to learn from Washington with the idea of maybe adopting his plan and trying to implement it as the leader of his own movement.

And as usual, Alexander’s art always gives you reason to pause after you read the text from each panel. This title continues to be one of the best horror comics out there — not exclusively at Image.
