Kodi Smit-McPhee Joins ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ as Nightcrawler

Feb 18, 2015

It has already been announced that teenage Scott Summers, Jean Grey and Storm will be in Bryan Singer’s upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. Now it has been revealed on Bryan Singer’s Instagram that Let Me In and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes star Kodi Smit-McPhee has joined that cast as fan-favorite Nightcrawler! Originally played by Alan Cumming in X2: X-Men United it will now be a much younger version.

The only real question is will they explore his German origins as well as being the child of Azazel who was killed off before the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past and his mother Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence).

Excited to welcome @kodismitmcphee to the cast of #XmenApocalypse as young #Nightcrawler. @alexvaughanphoto
