‘Kubo and The Two Strings’ Director Travis Knight Set To Helm the ‘Bumblebee’ Spin-Off Movie

We now know a slew of Transformers spin-off movies are in-development at Paramount. After they hired a writers room full of screenwriters to create their own cinematic universe. Now Deadline is reporting that Kubo and the Two Strings director Travis Knight is set to helm the upcoming Bumblebee spin-off film. Kubo and the Two Strings was also nominated for this years Academy Awards for best-animated feature. The film was written by Christina Hodson with Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg producing.

This will be Knight’s first step into a live-action feature after directing Kubo, Coraline, ParaNorman and the Boxtrolls. All stop motion films with help from his animation company Laika. He is also the son of Nike founder Phil Travis.
