Legendary and Warner Bros. Developing ‘King Kong’ and ‘Godzilla’ Crossover Film

Deadline reports that Legendary Pictures has moved Kong: Skull Island from Universal to Warner Bros. The plan being that they’d like to mash-up Kong and Godzilla together in a new King Kong/Godzilla crossover in the future under one roof with the blessing of Godzilla rights holders Toho. This would take place after the upcoming Godzilla sequel from Gareth Edwards.

Hollywood Reporter adds, that the studio is looking towards creating it’s own monster cinematic universe.
