Leigh Janiak’s ‘Fear Street’ Movie Confirmed To Shoot In Atlanta

Mar 19, 2018

Over the summer it was revealed that 20th Century Fox had hired director Leigh Janiak (Honeymoon) to make a Fear Street trilogy based on the young adult horror novels by R.L. Stine.

Omega Underground can now confirm that the studio plans to film Fear Street in Atlanta, Georgia. It was previously reported that Fox was hoping all-three Fear Street films could be shot back-to-back.

The first film is said to be a spooky love story set in Fear Street’s Shadyside, Ohio.

Sony’s Goosebumps movies have also made Atlanta their production home.

Janiak is attached to Sony’s The Craft as well but the remake likely won’t be happening first.

Production and release dates are currently unknown at this time.
