Casting is certainly amping up for Loinsgate up for their upcoming Power Rangers reboot. So far they have looked to unknown actors to bring the Red Ranger Jason and Pink Ranger Kimberly to life. With The Martian star Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger and Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger. Now they have cast both the Black Ranger Zack and Blue Ranger Billy as well.
They have officially cast newcomer Ludi Lin as Zack the Black Ranger. He hasn’t had any major roles until now. He had a small role on Netflix’s Marco Polo as well as the film Monster Hunt. They then went onto reveal that RJ Cyler has joined the cast as Billy the Blue Ranger. RJ might be the most known of any of the young actors in the film. He had the lead role in Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. He also is in the middle of filming Brad Pitt’s War Machine film. Lastly, we have just Trini the Yellow Ranger who needs to be cast; which may happen sometime as early as next week. The antagonists of the film however are expected to be higher profile named actors.
