Lionsgate Considering Making ‘Hunger Game’ Prequels Now

Dec 8, 2015

The fourth and final Hunger Games film debuted just a few weeks ago. It had Katniss Everdeen finally overcome President Snow and the evil Capital in all out war. Unfortunately, the film debuted it’s lowest opening weekend box office numbers than any of the other films.

Lionsgate Vice Chairman Micheal Burns blames this on the final two films not having the Hunger Game Areas like the first two. “The one thing that kids say they missed (from the early Hunger Games films) was there was no arenas.” He then went onto suggest that if the studio goes onto making Hunger Game prequels it would see the return of the arenas. “If we went backwards there obviously would be arenas.”
