Mads Mikkelsen has been finally spotted on the set of Doctor Strange, Marvel has been quite secretive of who he is playing in the film.
A Mads Mikkelsen fan site was able to find some high resolution images of the actor on the New York set today.
These images seemingly confirm that the cast members in the red and yellow costumes from yesterday’s photos are somewhat aligned with Mads’ character, who may or may not be the MCU version of dark dimension villain Dormammu.
The eyes might be a huge give away here, as they look slightly charred and we might see digital effects add flames to their eyes. Dormammu is known for having a head of fire, but might not be the best character design for an actor to work with, having flaming eyes might be a great compromise.
It’s been rumored for months that’s his role in the film, as Mads Mikkelsen was originally set to play Malekith in Thor: The Dark World, dropping out due to scheduling conflicts.
Doctor Strange is set for release on November 4th, 2016 and are expecting some footage to be revealed D23 in July.
