Marvel and Sony Announce the ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Sequel Coming in 2019

Dec 10, 2016

Only a mere 24 hour after the initial teaser trailer was released online for Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures collaborative Spider-Man reboot…the studios together announced it’s sequel. Taking the spot of The Inhumans movie (now headed to television). The upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming will debut July 5th, 2019.

This isn’t to surprising considering how much praise star Tom Holland has received since his role debuted in Captain America: Civil War. The actor also revealed that he is currently contracted to appear in three Spider-Man solo films and three crossover films. This will see the young star appear in more films as the web crawler than any other actor before him. Ironically back in 2004 Spider-Man 2 also was released on the Fourth of July weekend. The film will end up going against the still untitled Transformers 7 slated a week earlier.
