Production is already underway for Marvel’s next Netflix series Luke Cage, as there were shots taken of our two villains on set via Coming Soon. Alfre Woodward plays Mariah Dillard, a local Harlem politician who just happens to be the cousin of Mahershala Ali’s character a villain known as Cottonmouth. It’ll be interesting to see more of a political side to the criminals in these Netflix series.
The studio just made their official announcements concerning the rest of the cast, confirming the actors and their characters in the show. They include Theo Rossi as fellow villain Shades,Simone Missick as NYPD Detective/future superhero herself Misty Knight, Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe, and Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple will be featured in the series as well.
