Marvel debuts ‘Iron Fist’ trailer at NYCC & ‘The Defenders’ gets its villain
It’s here, folks! The first look at the forth series and member of the Defenders has finally arrived. Iron Fist wrapped up filming this weekend and the cast was in attendance during NYCC to host a Q&A about the upcoming show and tease a bit of the upcoming Defenders series. The trailer was definitely a treat for fans as we got to see the famous tattoo and got to witness the hand glow!
It’s been also confirmed that Rosario’s Dawson’s character, Claire Temple will also be making an appearance in the series. It’s pretty clear Claire is the connecting point to all four series, even often referred to as the Nick Fury of the Netflix Marvel shows.
Danny Rand returns to New York City, after being missing for fifteen years, to reclaim his family company. However, when a threat emerges, Rand must choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.
Finn Jones plays the title character, while Jessica Henwick is Colleen Wing, who was briefly referenced in Marvel’s Luke Cage. Carrie-Anne Moss plays Jeri Hogarth, Jessica Stroup is Joy Meachum, and David Wenham is Harold Meachum. We also see Daredevil’s Madam Gao make an appearance in the trailer.
Marvel’s Iron Fist is set to hit Netflix on March 17th 2017.
Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb said, “”Marvel is honored to have an actress of her caliber and status join what is already our biggest show ever! She is by definition a class act.”
Sigourney joined castmates Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Charlie Cox (Daredevil) and Finn Jones (Iron Fist) on stage. The Defenders begins filming in the next couple of weeks.
We are one step closer to seeing these four together on the same screen!
