As long as there has been Marvel and DC Comics many fans have argued which is superior in comics. This came to a head when Marvel and DC started producing feature films. Most famously the argument in 2012 was which is better The Dark Knight or The Avengers.
However, Marvel and DC head producers Kevin Feige and Goeff Johns acutally have literally no rivliary what so ever. They happend to both be very good friends who both got their start in Hollywood under famed Superman: The Movie director Richard Donner. While speaking with french news publication AlloCiné Feige explains how the rivilary is just perpetrated by the press:
There’s not really a rivalry. The rivalry is much more amongst the press, I think. Geoff Johns [DC Films co-head] is a very good friend of mine. We grew up together in the business and recently celebrated Richard Donner, who we both used to work for. So, I applaud all the success he’s had. I really just look at it as a fan. When the movies perform well and are well received, it’s good for us – which is why I’m always rooting for them.
So we can offically put to bed this feud between Marvel and DC fans because it is basically non-existent. Check out the video below where both producers talk about their first time working in Hollywood under Richard Donner:
