Last month we at Omega Underground had learned that production on Marvel’s upcoming female superhero movie Captain Marvel was expected to begin at the end of January in Atlanta. We now have learned that production has been pushed only a few weeks to February 2018. However, it will still be filming in Pinewoods Studios in Atlanta, GA.
This lines up with a recent interview Collider had with Kevin Feige who also confirmed filming begins sometime in February:
“Assuming everything stays on schedule, we start filming … Captain Marvel in February.”
Recently, Marvel hired Mississippi Grind directing duo Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck to helm the project. With a script by Meg LeFauve & Nicole Pearlman. Brie Larson with star as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel.
