Marvel’s ‘The Runaways’ Season 2 Indeed Begins Filming This April

Mar 14, 2018

Last November, Hulu launched their very own Marvel Television show with cult favorite comic The Runaways. While the show lacked in any real action scenes that Marvel TV has been known for. It focused more on the drama between the children learning their parents are apart of a secret cult that sacrifices runaways from the streets of Los Angeles.  The show also gave all their parents of The Pride far more back story and inner strife between each other than the comic ever did.

The show was a hit among viewers and was quickly announced to be getting a second season. In February it was rumored that The Runaways would return to film this April in Los Angeles under the working title of Rugrats. We at Omega Underground can confirm that these dates are true. As filming will begin sometime in late April on the upcoming 13-episode season. It will also shoot through September. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl) are set to return as showrunners.

Here is hoping that Freeform’s Cloak & Dagger which debuts this June eventually crosses over with The Runaways as they did in the comics several times. However, after a full season The Runaways didn’t have one Easter egg pertaining to the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Runaways is streaming now on Hulu
