Jan 18, 2018

It looks like director Ang Lee is finally casting for roles for his science fiction action flick Gemini Man, starring Will Smith in dual roles.

First, Variety reports that Children of Men star Clive Owen is in talks to play a villain the film. Details of Owen’s role is unknown to Variety but other outlets are saying he’ll be running the cloning program.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Fargo, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Scott Pilgrim) is also in talks for a role according to TheHollywoodReporter. Mary will play a fellow operative that will team up with Smith. Apparently, she beat-out Tatiana Malsany for the part.

Our previous reporting revealed that Ang Lee has hired Inception production designer Guy Hendrix Dyas (Blackhat, X-Men 2) for the film. Also, Gemini Man is expected to begin filming next month with locales such as Atlanta/Savannah, Budapest, and Cartagena shooting from February 26th until July 21st. But the start could get a delay.

Paramount has slated the film for release on October 4th, 2019.
