Matt Nix’s ‘X-Men’ Family Drama Gets Pilot Order at FOX

News on showrunner Mat Nix (Burn Notice) upcoming X-Men TV drama has been becoming more abundant since the new year. Still, untitled FOX has ordered a pilot on the show (via Deadline) ; which has been met with much enthusiasm since the studio has read a draft of the script. Casting has already begun and a small synopsis has been revealed for the show:

The drama focuses on two ordinary parents who discover that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

It was also revealed that the Sentinel program will also play a major role in the upcoming series. This now marks the second (Well third if you count 2001’s Mutant X) X-Men TV series after FX’s Legion that debuts later this month.
