Today, there was an unsourced rumor floating around the interwebs that writer-director Matt Reeves was exiting The Batman. Well, in a surprising twist the faux rumor was debunked by Reeves himself on Twitter.

However, in the world of speculation and rumor, when a rumor becomes an ear-worm doesn’t matter if true or not people start to believe it. Sadly, I get the impression Matt’s words won’t be enough and we’re likely going to still get a million thought pieces.
