For some time there was a rumor circulating that Professor X and other mutants from the First Class trilogy may appear in Josh Boone’s upcoming New Mutants spin-off film. I guess the term New didn’t really cross their minds. Last week Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that James McAvoy will not be appearing in that film as Xavier. Now Josh Horowitz of MTV spoke with Micheal Fassbender about appearing in New Mutants. The actor reveals he will not be in New Mutants but will instead return for X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
Want to know Fassbender’s X-MEN future? Bet big on him appearing in DARK PHOENIX but not NEW MUTANTS. Oh, I just saw Michael Fassbender BTW

Last we heard at Omega Underground was that production was supposed to begin next month in Canada. However, with no press release from Fox regarding a director on the project (screenwriter Simon Kinberg was once rumored) it’s unknown if they will be able to keep that production date.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is expected to hit November 2nd, 2018
