Variety has learned of the first casting addition to David Leitch’s Hobbs and Shaw, the first spin-off of the Fast and Furious franchise.
They report that British actress Vanessa Kirby best known from The Crown and will be seen this summer in Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout. She’ll be playing the MI-5 Agent sister of Jason Statham‘s Shaw.
Helen Mirren played their mother but it’s unknown if she’ll be reprising the role.
Dwayne Johnson has previously confirmed our production reporting that the film will being filming on September 4th.
The locations of the shoot are said to include London, Atlanta, and Hawaii.
Universal has set the film’s release date for August 2nd, 2019.
