Issue 192 is number 5 of Crazy Runs in the Family. This arc has been so different from any other Moon Knight. It dives deeper into his madness and background. In this issue, he’s questioning his sanity even more. Finding out what Ra and his follower’s mission really is, or is it? He’s not sure if it’s all in his head. He starts to think he’s making it up. He calls for his best friend to care for his daughter whom he thought was the living dead. Then you see he probably isn’t. While being forced to see the Sun God’s motives he cannot figure out if Khonshu is on the wrong side of this fight.
I really loved seeing a few more of Marc’s personalities. He is really more than one person. Given an hallucination does not help his case. Is Ru right? Is Spector even fighting for the right cause? Looks like one of his ideas are wiping heroes with powers off the face of the earth.
Bemis really gets this character. His idea of the insanity of Spector is amazing. From Marc’s inner monologue to the dialogue. I truly saw Konshu. But also Marc. Seeing that he questions the Moon God like this is really intense. The cover art says a lot about the story, but like the previous issues, it surprised the hell out of me. His costume is spot on. The way the whole comic is drawn is spot on. Even The colors are very expressive of what’s happening at that moment. I’m actually questioning myself, what is real. I question Ra’s intentions. This is what has kept me reading this title. It’s never disappointing and it’s written so well. If you haven’t read Crazy Runs in the Family I highly recommend it. Especially if you’re a fan of Moon Knight. Part 6 comes out this Wednesday.
