John Carpenter and Blumhouse Pictures are teaming up for a Halloween reboot which will be co-written by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride. David will also direct the film after Carpenter (producing) gave them his blessing. One of the few remakes that are asking for John’s input.
We discovered project’s working title will be Night Blade and is expected to shoot in Louisiana (New Orleans?) this fall.
Previously, Omega Underground uncovered two audition tapes for the role of Allyson that had actresses Chloe Csengery (Paranormal Activity 3, Modern Family) and Allison Winn (Daredevil, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) vying for it. The role is expected to be one of the main kids in the reboot.
Now, we have two more audition tapes to share.
Newcomer Gunner Burkhardt is reading for the role of Wesley.
Another one with British actor Paul Bridges is seemingly for the smaller role of Martin, a journalist.
Hiring unknowns is quite common with horror casting.
Halloween is set for release on October 19th, 2018.
