We’re still interested to see what could be happening with returning Deadpool characters for David Leitch‘s Deadpool 2. One character that has yet to be a bit more reflective is Morena Baccarin’s Vanessa, who is also a fellow mutant named Copycat.
CinemaBlend caught up with Baccarin who is still very much interested in pursuing Vanessa’s evolvement into X-Force member Copycat in future X-Men films.
“I would love to see the evolution of [Copycat], and how she becomes that. I also think it’s very interesting to see the relationship with her and Wade after the whole thing. His whole demeanor changing. And just how they continue their relationship.”
“Obviously, everyone wants to see Copycat. I have no idea if that’s something they have in the works or not.”
Despite CinemaBlend’s claims that Deadpool 2 is in “very early development” which is completely false, casting is actually currently underway with some Deadpool actors already confirmed as returning.
Production 2 is set to begin this June in Vancouver with a release date expected for 2018.
