Most people probably rolled their eyes at the thought of Saban and Lionsgate rebooting the Power Rangers for the big screen.
Probably due to being older and missing out on the whole craze as children. But for those of us who grew up in the 90’s and were in love with the original Power Rangers series, we’ve been waiting a long damn time for it to happen.
Today Lionsgate released a brand new trailer giving us our first look at Zordon, Alpha 5, Goldar and the Zords in all their glory.

The trailer is filled with all the nostalgia from the original series, with a little less cheese. I’m digging everything about it, maybe not Alpha 5 but everything else.
Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
The film stars Dacre Montgomery as Jason the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Becky G as Trini the Yellow Ranger and Ludi Lin as Zack the Black Ranger. Elizabeth Banks and Bryan Cranston round off the cast, they play Rita Repulsa and Zordon.
