New ‘Zorro’ Movie ‘Z’ Shooting In The Dominican Republic This Summer

Mar 10, 2018

A new Zorro movie has been in the works for a while now and it comes from Mexican writer-director Jonas Cuaron, who co-wrote Gravity. It’s said to have a near future setting which separates itself from previous incarnations of the beloved classic swashbuckling hero.

Gael Gracia Bernal (Coco) and recent addition Kiersey Clemons (Dope, Flashpoint) are attached to star.

Now, we have a production update to share.

We’ve learned that Z is set to film at Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios starting sometime this June.

It’s a newer facility in the Pinewood Group family. Films such as xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and 47 Meters Down have previously shot scenes there.

Z is currently is without a release date.
