Hey everyone, 2013 was a fantastic year for fans of Video Games and Comics. And our community was there every step of the way with brilliant editorials, reviews, and new features like Cosplayer of the Month. We created a new podcast called Geeks With Wives and Capes, hosted by Casey and Will. This new show airs live on Google Hangout every Thursday night at 8pm PST. They talk all things comics-related such as movies, comic books, and cosplay.
What everyone wants to know is where do the Geeks come from? Well, they come from wherever YOU are. In 2013 we added the following folks to our crew and they all asked to join us after listening to our podcasts: Chris Pirri, Andrew Barton, Bobbiann Mako, They’re all helping in a variety of ways. Chris is writing excellent comics reviews; Andrew is a regularly on the Tuesday-night podcast and also began writing his new editorial: 500-character reviews. And Bobbiann is helping us interact with you on Facebook.
For 2014 we are expecting even more growth. If you want to be part of GWW as more than a fan, then please let any of us know and we’ll get you connected. From all of us at Geeks With Wives, thank you and here’s to a wonderful New Year!

Discovering cosplay was a very fascinating and exciting thing for me, and it gave me a great chance to merge both my love of video game characters and my love of art. I had absolutely no idea how to make a costume, and admittedly there were not many easy to find tutorials or open cosplay groups back then. But…

Joe was born and raised in Portland, OR. As an illegitimate son of Zeus, Joe sometimes struggles with his humanity vs. his divinity. As a self proclaimed “health-nut” Joe drinks half his weight in protein shakes a day, and it is not uncommon for him to run for days, sometimes covering hundreds of miles.
