Today, The Wrap announced that Academy-Award winning actress Nicole Kidman has entered negotiations to join the cast of DC Comics film Wonder Woman.
They speculate that the actress is expected to play the queen of the Amazons Queen Hippolyta, a role that was expected to have been turned down by fellow Oscar winner Cate Blanchett recently.This is a role many fans fan cast Lena Headey to play given her past credits as Queen of the Spartans in 300 and the Queen Mother of Westoros in Game of Thrones.
She joins her on screen daughter Gal Gadot as Princess Diana/Wonder Woman and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. Patty Jenkins is locked-in to direct with production starting very soon.
Eva Green and Sean Bean have also been linked for the villain roles, but aren’t confirmed.
