As reported by THR , Noah Centineo has been cast to play Atom Smasher in DC’s and New Line’s Black Adam. Centineo appears alongside Dwayne Johnson; who is expected to play the anti hero known as Black Adam. Atom Smasher is a character who can grow big and strong; and has once been a member of the ‘Justice Society of America’ in the past. It’s unknown how big of a role the character has; considering he was not much of a big character in the comics.
Noah Centineo has appeared in the hit 2018 film, “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.” Since then he has starred the reboot to “Charlies Angels,” and “To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.” Black Adam could be his biggest film if it does well. Knowing Dwayne Johnson’s name is attached, I assume it will do well. Side note, It astounds me that Johnson has been attached to this role since 2007, that really shows me he has so much passion for this role.
Jaume Collet-Serra who recently directed the upcoming Disney feature, “Jungle Cruise” is directing Black Adam. Which both stars Dwayne Johnson in a main role. Black Adam is being produced by Beau Flynn, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia. This film will be the second collaboration between New Line and DC following the commercial success of SHAZAM!.
