What was your first Cosplay experience?
In 2011, when I returned home from serving a tour in Iraq, I attended Mega Con in Florida, and that was the first time I cosplayed at a convention. I cosplayed DeadPool, the Merc with the mouth. It was an exciting experience. So many people were asking to take photos of me and complimenting my cosplay, I didn’t expect it.

How long have you been Cosplaying?
I’ve been cosplaying for about 4 years now.

Who or what inspired you to take up Cosplaying?
It was something I thought about just trying for fun. At the time I first cosplayed, I didn’t know any other cosplayers. But it was something I looked forward to doing when I got back home.

If you had to pick a favorite Cosplay you have worn, or have seen someone else wear, what would it be?
My favorite cosplays that I’ve worn are Jack Skellington, DeadPool, and Darth Maul. It’s hard to just pick one, I love and enjoy them all. A few of them are with the help of my soon to be wife, which has amazing make up skills!

If you had unlimited funds and resources, what Cosplay would you create?
I’d have to say, an Iron Patriot suit, which I’m currently working on acquiring, shhh lol.

What advice would you offer to those who are aspiring Cosplayers?
I’d have to say, if it’s something you enjoy doing, never stop doing it. Everyone has responsibilities, whether it be work, school, or both, and many other things, you always need to take some type of time in the day to enjoy the things you like. There is no gender or race to cosplay, it’s something we do for fun. So don’t ever allow anyone to make you think for a second, that you can’t be a certain character due to race or gender.
And last, no matter how many other people have cosplayed a ceratin character, everyone has their own unique touch to a cosplay, there are no rules, to you tweeking, or adding more or less to a certain look.
