Oscar Isaac is a super busy actor lately, starring in two of the best films of last year with Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the amazing Ex Machina.

The Tracking Board has learned that Oscar will be reuniting with Ex Machina director Alex Garland for his next sci-fi project Annihilation, taking a starring role.

It’s an adaptation of the first novel in the Souther Reach trilogy by author Jeff VanderMeer, they include Annihilation, Authority, and Acceptance.

The story centers around a biologist (Portman) who, in seeking answers to her husband’s tragic disappearance volunteers for a government expedition into an area sealed off as an environmental disaster zone. What she discovers, however, is pristine wilderness, and a mysterious dark force within it.

Production is said to begin this spring in London.
