‘Ouija: Origin of Evil’ Cinematographer Joins ‘Shining’ Sequel ‘Doctor Sleep’

Mike Flanagan is set to direct the sequel to the Shining based on the Stephen King novel Doctor Sleep, which focuses on a grown up Danny and a group of people who can shine but are killing others with powers to increase their own.

We previously revealed that they added Zombieland production designer Maher Ahmad and now we have learned that Flanagan will renuite with cinematographer Michael Fimognari. Mike and Michael previously worked together on Ouija: Origin of Evil, Gerald’s Game, and Haunting of Hill House.

Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson are attached to star.

Warner Bros. has set the release date for January 24th, 2020.
