Steven S. DeKnight’s Pacific Rim: Uprising starring John Boyega has been filming in Australia for the last couple of months and now its finally moved to China.

Boyega posted this photo of himself during a cleansing ceremony.

It’s been expected for months that Uprising would eventually move production from Australia to Wanda Group’s studio facility Qingdao Movie Metropolis in Qingdao, China.

The film co-stars Scott Eastwood, Charlie Day, Tian Jing, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona, and Cailee Spaeny. Unconfirmed additions are rumored to include Rinko Kikiuchi and Karl Urban.

The Great Wall was the first Legendary Pictures production to shoot at the facility with Godzilla: King of The Monsters expected to move there after they finish shooting scenes in Atlanta this summer.

Here are some lovely set photos from the Australian production collected from various online sources by SciFied.
