The Midnight Society is finally making a comeback with Paramount’s new Are You Afraid of The Dark? movie from screenwriter Gary Dauberman (IT, IT: Chapter 2, The Nun, Swamp Thing).
The original show from the 1990’s was a young adult horror series that focused on a group of kids that stat around a campfire and told each scary stories in an anthology format. It’s expected to keep that aspect.
We’ve learned that they are eyeing a December start in New Orleans, Louisiana.
A director has yet to be chosen but is expected to be announced very soon.
Paramount has set the release date for October 11th, 2019.
