Phoebe Waller-Bridge In Talks For Key CGI Role In ‘Han Solo: A Star Wars Story’

Feb 9, 2017

Variety reports that British television actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Broadchurch, Fleabag, The Iron Lady) is currently in talks with Lucasfilm to play an unnamed but important part in Han Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Her role isn’t being named but is said to be CGI focused which means Phoebe is most likely playing a droid, not unlike the shockingly well done K-2S0 from Rogue One. Another possibility is that she be playing an alien that requires motion-capture but as most aliens are being practically done we’re suspecting it’ll be a droid.

If Waller-Bridge lands the part, she’ll join Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson.

Production is underway on Han Solo in London with a release date set for May 25th, 2018.
