Phoenix Comic-Con 17: Karen Gillian, Elden Henson and Jon Bernthal Panels

May 29, 2017

The last day of any Comic Convention is usually the smallest with almost no special guest star panels. However, that was the case here in Phoenix! On the final day of the convention, we attended fan Q&A panels for Karen Gillian (Nebula) from Guardians of the Galaxy. As well as Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Jon Bernthal (The Punisher) from Netflix’s Daredevil.

The biggest panel line by far was Karen Gillian who is the most adorable actress on the face of this earth. Which is a massive departure from the supervillain known as Nebula in Marvel’s massive Guardians of the Galaxy films. The actress admitted if she got to pick the tracks for her own mixtape it would most likely be nothing but Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley tracks. She also admitted she loved filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 more because she got to keep her hair this time. The actress went on to reveal that she has yet to see her script for Avengers: Infinity War which suggests she might be used until the Untitled Avengers 4 movie that films later this year. She does, however, reveal that she hopes Nebula gets her revenge on her evil adopted father Thanos (Josh Brolin) in the film.

The actress goes on to reveal several characters she would love to play in the future. The first being the live-action version of Merida from 2012’s massive Disney hit Brave. She also makes an off-handed comment on playing a female version of Jack Torrance from The Shinning in a reboot. Lastly, revealing she grew up on Jumanji and was honored to be in the upcoming reboot starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart.
