Adobe has added generative AI tools to Photoshop, bringing the Firefly portfolio of features to a wider user base. The beta version includes the ability to create and edit images using generative AI. Firefly uses a technique called Generative Fill to ensure the generated image fits with the existing style, lighting and other elements. The tool has created more than 100 million assets in six weeks. Adobe plans to bring Firefly to the rest of its Creative Cloud application and is working on a payment system for those who own any work it uses for its AI training programme.
