Debuting in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1960, Spider-Man quickly rose to become one of the most iconic – and beloved – Marvel superheroes of all time, in part due to his colourful and simplistic costume, and because of his relatable origins which serve as both an insight into the struggles of being a superhero and student at the same time, but also as an allegory for the bizarre changes teens face from puberty and the difficulties of balancing work life and hobby life.
