Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus) is reportedly joining Michael Keaton as a villain in Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Homecoming, but the role isn’t named by the Hollywood Reporter.

It’s very possible he could be playing the younger version of the Vulture (Michael Keaton rumored for role), as one of the powers of the villain is to drain the youth of victims to make himself virile and young. There’s also been chatter that villains like Norman Osborn and The Jackal (introduced in Amazing Spider-Man 2) could be apart of the film.

I wouldn’t be terribly shocked if we see Keaton playing J. Jonah Jameson with him hiring/funding Spidey villain Scorpion to capture Spider-Man, as they’ve never really explored the darker side to Parker’s boss.

I’m also curious if this was the villainous role that was originally offered to Matthew McConaughey.

The more established cast is extremely talented which includes Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover and Kenneth Choi. The younglings are headed-up by star Tom Holland along with Zendaya, Micheael Barbieri, Tony Revolori, and Laura Harrier.

Production is getting ready to begin soon at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta.

Oddly enough, the Tom Hardy lookalike was hired for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus once Scott wasn’t able to get his Black Hawk Down actor (Hardy) for the role.

Homecoming will be heading into theatres next July 7th, 2017.
