In what I’ve played of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS so far, I’ve been extremely impressed. The controls are butter-smooth, the new characters all feel unique, the new stages are largely fun to play on,  and the combat speed seems to strike the perfect balance between the fast combat of Melee and the slower combat of Brawl. The tweaks to Classic Mode make it easily the best version, and the new mode,  Smash Run, provides something very reminiscent of both Subspace Emissary from Brawl and Adventure Mode from Melee.

There’s plenty more that can be said, but for that, look forward to my full review of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, coming soon.
