Review: Infinity Blade (iOS)

Dec 9, 2010

Everybody, stop what you’re doing and go to the App Store on your iPhone, Touch, or iPad and download Infinity Blade. The game is not only the best looking on iOS, but also a great idea. For $5.99 it will likely crack your personal top 3 iPhone compatible games.

The game is simple. You are in a medieval environment dealing with orcs, evil paladins, knights, and one main boss who is the source of all things evil in your life. After all, he killed your father. And his father. And his father. Well, you get the point. There is only one level design and a static number of enemies. They grow progressively more difficult each time you are killed by the main boss – the god king. But that’s the point. You have to die if you want to win. Each time through from the entrance to the castle to the main boss, you gain experience, find new equipment, and earn money that you will pass down to your son so that one day the death of your ancestors will be avenged.

I’ll leave you with this: if you’re on the fence for a new mobile platform, this is the iPhone’s killer app.
