Alien: Covenant has seemingly wrapped on principal according to some recent social media posts made by people working on the film. The sequel to Prometheus had been shooting in Australia with some exterior scenes shot in New Zealand.
This was confirmed by Covenant‘s set decorator Lacey Malice showing off her crew jacket and a thank you letter from Ridley on Instagram (found via AVPGalaxy).
“It’s a wrap!!! I never would have guessed this time last year as I was having the time of my life in Switzerland at the HR Giger museum I would return home to paint the exact sets that he envisioned so long ago!, it has been an amazing experience, I’ve learnt so much and made some very talented new friends.”
Covenant wrap party last night.. great to let our hair down.. I was hoping to see a few face huggers in the crowd but alas it wasn’t to be!

AVPGalaxy also managed to find this image of the crew with star Danny McBride, two of which were wearing their wrap gift. They’ve also revealed that effects companies Animal Logic and MPC will be handling some of the post-production special effects work that will take place over the many months to come.
UPDATE: Fox has confirmed production has wrapped with an official post from the Alien Twitter account.
